5G Techritory is an annual Baltic Sea Region 5G ecosystem forum, which in 2020 took on a new, ''phygital'' format, in response to the global pandemic. Following successful work on the previous year's conference, this was the second year in a row when we were invited to take care of its PR and media relations.

Challenge

5G Techritory is an annual Baltic Sea Region 5G ecosystem forum, which in 2020 took on a new, ''phygital'' format, in response to the global pandemic. Following successful work on the previous year's conference, this was the second year in a row when we were invited to take care of its PR and media relations.

Solution

We applied diversified tactics, promoting the event in mainstream and niche media outlets, social media, and others. We also used influencer word-of-mouth marketing inviting prominent speakers to post about the event.

During the event, we engaged journalists in a “virtual pressroom” constantly staying on their radar via email and making it as easy as possible for them to cover the event.

Results

Altogether the event surpassed expectations and gained excessive coverage in the press. The event was mentioned in more than 200 media publications, including a number of mainstream tech media and well-known 5G niche outlets.

100+ speakers and their represented institutions shared their participation on both their private and institutions' social media profiles. LinkedIn was filled with industry leaders referencing 5G Techritory.
